Unveiling and dedication of Historical Marker. In the early 1900s, six African Americans who called manatee and Sarasota counties home were victims of racial terror lynchings. The historical marker will honor the six documented lynchings in addition to other acts of racial terror and inspire our community to continue seeking racial justice and healing.
